PGA Cup 2023

We had 23 members and one solo guest making up eight 3 balls on the new course at Fanling.  The weather was perfect and pace of play was even better at less than 4 hours for all groups.  Scoring conditions from the blue tees were good as well with 7 players finishing with 36 pts or better.  Newish member Alastair Murray won the PGA Cup with 40 pts with Stuart Mackenzie finishing in 2nd place on 38 pts.  Raaj Shah won low gross with a 76.    Winners received our new prizes of green fees , whiskey and decanter set.

 

The best prize of the day was probably Darian Yip with the a solo 2 – pocketing $1200.

 

On a lighter note, Will Glover was investigated for doping after hitting a near 300 yard drive on 9 to win the long drive.

Also a thanks from me to all score keepers today – all cards were immaculate and easy to enter into Golf Genius.
