The Heritage Cup was played at Clearwater Bay Golf Club today. Conditions were relatively mild with little to no wind but the extreme heat led to relatively high overall scoring. We had 19 members and 3 guests playing a course which LSW has not played in a long time.
JP took home the trophy shooting 83 for a 3 under net score. Runner up was Mark Cameron at 2 under on a count back. Best front nine was Wynand Oosthuizen at -1 net and best front nine was Peter Crewe at -2 net. Raaj Shah won best gross shooting a 1 under 69. Simon Acton won sharpshooter with a +1 overall score on the 6 tough par 3s at CWB – a very good result.
Lucas Eshelman took keenest golfer after a late arrival at CWB via DWB. The rush led to a +17 net score of 87.
The lucrative 2s prize was split by JP and guest Brett Hornung who also won best guest.
Finally the team game was won in a landslide by Raaj, David and Terry with a blind assist from Mark Cameron.
Next event is the Tiger Cup to be played at Old Course (play while we still can) on Friday August 18th — tee times from 1:10 pm.
